How large is A Resident’s room?

While rooms can vary slightly based on beds and fittings, the average size is a spacious and comfortable 4x2.5m (13x8 ft), along with a personal lobby of around 1 sq m. With built in storage and specially designed furniture, you can make the most of your personal space. Bathrooms are an average of 1.5x1.5m (just under 5x5ft).

Is internet provided?

Free Wi-Fi is available in residents’ rooms as well as all communal areas. Your password is provided upon check in.

Do you provide towels and bed linen?

Hand and bath towels, bath mats, bed linen, two pillows, and a nice warm duvet are all provided with every room. Bathroom essentials, such as soap and toilet paper, are also included in your stay. Towels and bed linen are changed by our housekeeping service once per week.

For short stays of up to 5 weeks, bath gel and shampoo are also provided.

What are the laundry facilities?

We have an on-site laundrette featuring modern Miele washing machines and dryers for residents to use. Guests are required to bring their own washing powder/liquid and a normal wash costs £5, with the dryer costing £2 for 20 minutes. The laundrette is open 7 days a week from 7:00 to 22:00.

We also have a irons/ironing boards that can be loaned to residents (for short periods only) on payment of a refundable deposit of £10.

Is there a hairdryer in the room?

A hairdryer is provided in all Superior rooms.

What times are the meals served?

* If you cannot make it for Dinner Service, we can offer you a takeaway late meal instead. This service should be requested with Reception before 18:00 on the day.

Can I get Tea/Coffee During the Day?

We offer complimentary tea & coffee throughout the day. A water cooler and ice machine is also available for use 24/7.

I am staying as a visitor and dinner is not included. Can I choose to have dinner?

Of course, you’re welcome to dine with us! Dinner is £25.00 for a 3-course set menu.

Guests can also join residents for dinner at a charge of £25 (£15 for breakfast).

Do you provide personal cooking facilities or a residents’ kitchen?

We do not. There are no cooking facilities for residents’ use and we do not allow the use of any personal cooking items in the room. However, residents can consume food - including take away or home delivery meals - either in their rooms, the communal dining room (excluding the times when breakfast or dinner is served), or in the private garden.

Will you cater for customers with food intolerances or allergies?

Unfortunately, we cannot cater specifically for residents or guests with food intolerances or allergies. We do offer gluten free and vegetarian options during breakfast & dinner services, however our kitchen stores and handles food with allergens and, although every care is take to prevent cross-contamination, nothing can ever be 100% certain.

Is there a discount if I am away from the House?

If you are away from Vincent House for a period longer than two weeks during the term of your residency, we will deduct a proportion of your service charge on the days you are away. Please ask reception for details or e-mail reception@vincenthouse.co.uk. To get a discount, Reception needs to be informed in writing before your planned departure.

Can I register with a local GP?

All residents on a Long-Term Licence Agreement can register with a local GP service. In addition to your Licence Agreement, signed upon arrival, we can provide a letter confirming the address and your residency at Vincent House.

How easy is it to get to Vincent House from Heathrow or Gatwick airports?

Vincent House is located very close to Notting Hill Gate underground station. From Heathrow Airport you can choose to take the tube (Piccadilly line and change at Earls Court for the District line) or the Heathrow Express to Paddington mainline station, which is a few minutes away either by tube, bus or taxi.

If travelling from Gatwick Airport, take the Gatwick Express to Victoria mainline station and then onto Notting Hill Gate either by tube, bus or taxi.
