Having been brought up in the Notting Hill area until my parents moved south of the river when I was 13 and then moving back to the area to live in Linden Gardens throughout the 80s and in to the early 90s I can personally testify how much the area has changed in recent decades!
Having also been involved with Vincent House for more than 20 years, I have continued to spend a lot of time in the area and have witnessed the mind boggling increases in property prices during that time. So, I was very interested to read this article in the Evening Standard (17th May 2017) about the area’s popularity – especially since it gained international fame due to the incredible popularity of the film ‘Notting Hill’ – and explaining what it describes as its ‘bohemian’ appeal.
The feature also provides some startling numbers showing just the high cost of property in the area – both to buy or to rent. So it’s great news that Vincent House continues to offer great value accommodation in this historic and very appealing part of London which includes the renowned Portobello Road market, the annual Notting Hill Carnival and the designer shops of Westbourne Grove amongst its many attractions. Plus it has excellent transport links too and Vincent House is just a short walk from the Zone 1 underground station Notting Hill Gate!
